What moves the price inside the band: design temperature (−18°C costs structurally more than +4°C), panel thickness, refrigeration redundancy, and the controls — temperature logging and alarms are cheap insurance against an expensive thaw.

The power question comes first

A cold room is stored cold. In markets where the grid blinks — Nigeria's shadow grid, Ghana's distribution outages, Zimbabwe's load shedding, Zambia's hydro-drought years — the design question is how many hours the room must ride through and what starts the generator. Ice block and ice cream machines: the honest boundary

The same searches that find cold rooms find ice block making machines (a real small-business market in Nigeria and Ghana) and commercial ice cream machines. Both are dealer-served single-machine markets with wide quality variance, and we don't publish a hard band for them — a number would be noise. Where ice or ice cream is part of an integrated project — a fish depot with flake ice, a dairy adding an ice cream line — the refrigeration plant belongs in one engineered scope with the power design, and that we quote as a line, not a machine.
